The rewards of your trek will be crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft white sands with not a soul in sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Option_1_The_Easy_Trail_from_Petit_Anse_Beach\"><\/span>Option 1: The Easy Trail from Petit Anse Beach<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Warning: If you&#8217;re afraid of heights &#8211; this trail is not for you. <\/em>Although this trail is fairly easy compared to the second option, people who are not a fan of heights might find this trail daunting because it&#8217;s closer to the edge of the water. However, for those of you who have no problem with heights, then read on! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, drive down to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stbarts-villas.com\/en\/find\/flamands?utm_source=stbarts-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=hiking-colombier-beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flamands<\/a> Beach, then take a left to head towards Petite Anse Beach &#8211; the small yet charming cove between Colombier and Flamand  Beach. Continue driving down the road until you reach a dead end which is in front of the yellow Auberge de la Petite Anse. Park your car rental in front of the Auberge or on the side of the road a couple of feet ahead and get ready to start your hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The path is pretty straightforward, and you&#8217;ll have no problem following it. Prepare your cameras because you&#8217;ll be running into some cute animals such as <strong>mountain goats, tortoises, lizards, and iguanas<\/strong>. Make sure not to touch them, though, and merely admire them as you walk along the path. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first part of the trail gives you a good glimpse of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g1973386-d8606540-Reviews-Petite_Anse-Anse_des_Flamands_St_Barthelemy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Petite Anse Beach<\/a>, where you can see surfers catching some swells or people swimming in its tiny natural pools by the shore.  As you continue along the loop, you&#8217;ll see the view of the opposite side of St. Barts, and you&#8217;ll be stunned to see this uninhabited part of the island just oozing with natural beauty. On a sunny day, you&#8217;ll see the waters glistening like liquid gold as the sun beams reflect on the turquoise waters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A little further down the path, and you will have made it to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stbarts-villas.com\/en\/find\/colombier?utm_source=stbarts-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=hiking-colombier-beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colombier Beach<\/a>. With barely anyone there, all you&#8217;ll hear is the sound of crashing waves, the cool breeze blowing, and perhaps some faint voices of a couple or two nearby. Drive all the way to the top of <strong>Colombier&#8217;s viewpoint<\/strong> and park your car by the side of the road or in the small parking area if there&#8217;s an available spot. Before starting your hike, make sure to take a minute or two to admire the panoramic views of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stbarts-villas.com\/en\/find\/flamands?utm_source=stbarts-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=hiking-colombier-beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flamand<\/a>, Petit Anse, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stbarts-villas.com\/en\/find\/colombier?utm_source=stbarts-blog&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=hiking-colombier-beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colombier Beach<\/a>. Get some good shots, too, because you&#8217;ll definitely want to remember this breathtaking view long after your trip is over. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay \u2013 on with the hike! On your left, you&#8217;ll notice a small path leading you down the mountain. Take that path and begin your descent. The hike down is steep, so make sure you wear the proper footwear. Just like on the easier trail, you&#8217;ll find some wonderful encounters with iguanas, mountain goats, and tortoises chilling by the rocks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halfway through your hike, you&#8217;ll find a <strong>rocky overlook<\/strong> where you can stop to catch your breath and admire the jaw-dropping views of Colombier Beach. You&#8217;ll see the shimmering ocean dotted with sailboats and yachts, and you may even get a glimpse of the <strong>neighbouring\u00a0\u00cele Chevreau and St. Maarten<\/strong> across the water on a super clear day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After 20 minutes of walking through bushes and hiking down steep terrain, you&#8217;ll finally hit some flat ground. There, you will see a clearer and wider path leading you straight to Colombier Beach. Walk towards the waters and enjoy the rest of your day lounging on the white sands and swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Colombier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Return\"><\/span>The Return<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you&#8217;re ready, carefully follow the trail back the way you came. Make sure to watch out for the uneven terrain, as you may be more slippery after swimming in the ocean. The hike out may be quicker, but there&#8217;s still time to appreciate anew the island views and tropical flora and fauna surrounding you.
